Review:

Nox Orae is a festival of manageable size in La Tour-de-Peilz on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland that offers programs off the beaten path of the commercial music industry. The festival was founded in 2010 by the Association Tous Artistes Confondus and has been managed completely independently by the Association Nox Orae since 2012. The festival stands for creativity and originality and not for commercial overkill.

And in 2022, besides Brian Jonestown Massacre, King Hannah and Wu-Lu, PVC from London were also guests. PVA released their absolutely great and outstanding album „Blush“ on October 14, 2022, which I had already reviewed here quite euphorically. The album got us with a 5 star rating the highest score in all subcriteria.

PVA: the best band in 2022 from the Electronica / Electro genre

In combination with this live gig at the Nox Orae Festival and numerous other breathtaking performances, for example at „Later with Jools Holland“ on BBC, PVC is the world’s best Electronica / Electro band on this planet in 2022.

You can compare PVA a bit with Aggregat or Deorbiting (both from Germany), but PVA have with Ella Harris an absolutely fantasic front woman and multi-instrumentalist, who works with incredible naturalness and looseness. From Ella emanates an extremely impressive Auro, with which she has the auditorium after a few minutes under her spell. Ella is characterized by real authenticity and a stage presence that radiates far and wide.

But this also applies to her counterpart Josh Baxter, with whom Ella shares all functions at PVA. With the extremely precise drummer and percussionist Louis Satchell, PVA realize their own fascinating hybrid sound.
