Review:

I had actually planned to inform you about the single and remix releases of the fantastic JOPLYN, but since there are no contractual relations between my PR agency and Joplyn, the singles and remix releases have unfortunately passed me by. And so I present you here with some delay our playlist with all remixes and singles of Joplyn from the year 2022.
The tracks are based on Jo’s stunning album SANT JORDI 02, which was released on November 04, 2022, except for the tracks that were released by Watergate Records. You can read my review of this album here.

Jo has created something great with the album as well as the remixes, which belong to the best of the genre Deep House, Progressive House and Minimal/TechHouse worldwide. Joplyn puts the vocals at the center of the musical process on each of her tracks. Her arrangements have an incredibly intelligent layout, but always come across as loose and light-footed, almost magically pulling you onto the dance floor.
Just listen to the track „I Want to Believe“ in the Florian Kruse remix, this track stands like a constantly glistening fixed star high up in the firmament.

In the year 2022, where nothing went as it should have, both on the whole planet and in my private life, the collaboration with Joplyn, with the reviews and features I was allowed to write for her, is by far the most positive thing that happened to me in 2022. And I’m really looking forward to continuing the collaboration with Jo after I move to Berlin later this year. After all, I urgently need to get out of this stuffy wasteland here in Fulda, and the change is overdue by a long time.
