Intro
After his singles PULLING ME UNDER, NEW LIFE and DEEPEN, Belarusian producer HEARD RIGHT now releases DREAMS, his first long player on Nora En Pure’s label Purified Records on June 10, 2022. Since we have learned to appreciate Nora’s Purified Record label more as a pioneering single and EP label, then this long player from HEARD RIGHT is obviously generating more than just a little interest.
About HEARD RIGHT
Heard Right, whose real name is Jenya Yalovchik, is an up-and-coming melodic progressive artist with a lot of potential. Jenya creates melodic, almost archetypal clouds of sound that float feather-light over his multi-layered, epic deep house soundscapes.
His sound triggers emotions, evokes memories, makes us tap our fingers to the beat, tap our feet to the rhythm, makes us dance and affects the listener’s body and mind.
Heard Right is getting more and more attention from the worldwide melodic/progressive deep house community. With his new album “DREAMS”, HEARD RIGHT feels musically at home in the purified metacosmos of Nora En Pure.
His previous releases are available on numerous well-known genre labels such as Purified Records, Colorize, Rose Avenue or Monstercat Silk. In addition, his tracks have been supported by numerous style defining acts such as Nora En Pure, Cosmic Gate, Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Chicane, Jaytech and many more.
About the album DREAMS
DREAMS is a 12-track album, with which Heard Right proves his golden hand for multi-layered melodic soundscapes with a powerful and complex sound scheme. The epic instrumental track TIMELESS opens the album and shows HEARD RIGHT’s ability to stake out the terrain with multidimensional electronic sound layers and to create curiosity for more. The tracks Savior, Diversion, Roots and Lucid are further anchor tracks on the album that maintain the arc of tension and keep it spinning.
Collaborations with exceedingly impressive male and female vocalists from around the world are evident in the first single, Pulling Me Under, featuring Phoebe Tsen’s silky vocals. Collaborations with Phonic Youth (Home), Biishop (All For You), Gavin Beach (Eventually), Run Rivers (New Life), Tailor (Deepen) and Leo Islo (Stay (You’re In Everything)) resulted in more tracks that radiate tranquility yet are always gripping.
HEARD RIGHT is able to touch the listener deep in the heart and soul and can prove his penchant for catchy hooks track after track with emphasis.
“Writing an album was a pretty spontaneous idea for me at first, but turned out to be one of the best decisions in my life. This incredibly enriching experience and the emotions triggered in me mean a lot to me. During the creative process I met incredible people and musicians all over the world, to whom I am very grateful for becoming part of my most important release so far. Sometimes it’s great to witness how music connects completely different people who live far away from each other. I’m very grateful to everyone involved in this project and wish everyone to realize their own DREAMS!” – so HEARD RIGHT tells us.
The Bottom Line
One look at the cover was enough to know that this is a Purified Records release – and a 12-track album, which is actually what I’ve been waiting for with all of Nora’s activities. And DREAMS has become an excellent album in every respect, which I can highly recommend to you, if you can warm up to melodic- and deep house sounds. In an Instagram post, Nora asked which track we would like most. Let me tell you: “Eventually feat. Gavin Beach” is a real breaker. But there’s actually not a single track on this album that doesn’t find its way into our hearts in a special, mystical way.
As Jenya said: music is the language of our hearts that connects worldwide, that creates a common sense and supports us as a worldwide community, that gives us joy, fun but also reflectiveness and thoughtfulness – no matter in which corner of the planet we might be stuck at the moment. Music is art and without art our life is worth NOTHING. Let us always remember what unites us and not argue about the things that divide us.
In that sense, DREAMS by HEAR RIGHT is an important, a beautiful album you should always keep with you.
